Network
HostRemote utilizes some of the fastest and most reliable Internet backbones in the industry. This clear channel network consists of bi-directional OC-12 & OC-192 rings extending throughout the United States. The HostRemote backbone is a pure IP-routed network that does not segment into other services, such as voice or fax, meaning your data never has to share bandwidth with non-IP traffic. The network is designed to support mission critical non-stop web applications for both smaller hosted websites and bandwidth intensive, high traffic e-commerce portals.

Facilities
HostRemote's Internet Data Center (IDC) will provide the physical environment necessary to keep your servers up and running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This facility is custom designed with HVAC temperature control systems with separate cooling zones, and seismically braced racks. The (IDC) also offers physical security features, including state-of-the-art pre-action fire suppression system, uninterrupted AC Power, 24X7 secured card access, as well as video surveillance and security breach alarms. Within the facility, we are able to deliver the highest level of reliability through redundant sub-systems, diverse local telco and Internet connectivity, fully redundant power with multiple battery back up systems and back up diesel generator.

Our Network Operations Center is maintained and monitored 24 x 7 x 365 so you are always able to get high-level technical support. In addition, automatic monitoring systems check your hosted web site or dedicated servers to ensure up-time status. The staff has tremendous experience in dealing with both hardware and software problems to ensure speedy resolution to a problem.

Our data center was designed from the ground up for performance, scalability and redundancy. In every facet of the network, redundancy and Fault-tolerance was taken into account. Every piece of network gear from routers, switches and firewalls have a redundant pair that can quickly fail over transparently with no loss of customer data or connections. Behind our edge routers, we feature a completely switched architecture for blazing speed. Our network was designed around a fully redundant, gigabit fiber backbone, with extra fiber pre-wired to each row. Our backbone has the capacity to meet any current possible bandwidth requirements, and the extra pre-wired fiber can be quickly implemented if the need arises.

All HostRemote equipment is fully protected from power outages by both battery backups and generators.
