Server Hardening

HostRemote’s Server Hardening services ensure that the security of our client's critical servers-the backbone of the technology infrastructure that runs our businesses - is current and in accordance with the organization's security policy. One of the keys to successful server / host security is consistency, and establishing a server-hardening guide is an important step to achieving that consistency. It is important to develop baseline configurations for all operating systems used and implement these configurations throughout all server build processes. HostRemote works with clients to develop thorough, complete, and secure hardening guides for all operating systems used throughout the organization. In addition, hardening guides can be developed for other non-server devices, such as switches, routers, and VPN devices. When developing the guides, HostRemote relies upon established guidelines from software vendors and third party security organizations such as the SANS Institute and the National Security Agency (NSA).
The hardening guides cover such areas as:

We also take into consideration the client's unique requirements, and ensure that the hardening guides follow any established customer security policies. In order to address the dynamic nature of security, HostRemote performs periodic updates to the guides to ensure they address the latest security issues affecting the information technology community.
